In March, for the year 2026, Marlon Kayster became the fastest under 18, 100 meter sprinter in the world, with a time of 10.31 seconds.
In that same competition, the Paarl born and bred 17 year old secured another victory in the 200 meter and continues to show dominance, despite having to contend with an injury.
Competing in the under 18, 200 meters at the 2026 Autumn Athletics National School Sport Championship, Marlon once again showed his form with a Gold medal victory.
Despite his injury, with a time of 21.04 seconds, this would still make him the 9th fastest under 18, 200 meter sprinter in the world.
