Kuils River’s Camille Moses confesses that she initially thought that she performed badly in the matric exams. Her results, however, say otherwise. The Head Girl from Malibu High achieved an amazing 8 distinctions including in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and Accounting. She says that her study routine includes sleeping early and waking up early to study. She also found that studying each subject for 20 minutes at a time made her study sessions more enjoyable.
Also from Kuils River, Rowan Phillips also studies early in the morning, working through old matric exam papers. He does however emphasize that he does not overwork himself and takes time to relax. The Hoerkool de Kuilen matriculant achieved 7 distinctions and this future doctor has been accepted to study medicine at Stellenbosch University.
Delft’s Caprice Steyn’s routine was to come home after school and study until early in the morning. She admits that she struggled with Business Studies but believes that regardless of the subject, you have to push through to get the best results. The Simunye High School matriculant is most grateful to her mum for the sacrifices she made after her dad died. Caprice was just starting with high school when she got the tragic news. She matriculated with 4 distinctions and will be studying accounting at the University of Stellenbosch.
